Fool?

No the least.

I've been posting that this "plan" by Monmouth Park and the state of NJ is worth supporting. And the cinch the deal if they pursued any form of a takeout reduction, however miniscule that may be.

The bettors are a large part of the equation. They've got the money and hold the future of racing in Oceanport.

Any form of public relations would be a good move and would cinch the deal. The last thing NJ would like to find out is that quality + quantity only took them so far.

With no casino subsidies for next year. Nobody wants to be starting at Doomsday on the racing calendar. Monmouth Park is too good to be thrown away.

To all readers: please support the meet on the weekends. Should it succeed, this will be the future model of thoroughbred racing in the U.S. We all stand to gain from it. :-)

As long as New Jersey is experimenting, why not court bettors as aggressively as connections? Slash takeout, offer free data, target whales.

Is that your idea?
