Yes, yes and yes. Being out of the mainstream is a huge blessing. We are separated from the idiocy of the mainstream. The unwashed do not understand racing, are too simple to understand racing and the passion we have for it. They talk, talk, talk but can not walk the walk.
Most of these people taking a stance against racing are transparent posers. This posturing against racing is a game that somehow makes them feel morally superior in their minds. It is very easy to take a stance against an animal dying to look ethical. The motivation may appear to be a love for animals but where have these people been all my life? The sole motivation behind these peoples words is to acquire command of the high moral ground, this Eight Belles incident was a huge doorknob in the morality motel. Everyone is taking a turn looking good, you see the comments on internet newspaper articles and forums about the “greed of racing” and “animal free will” For these people bashing racing at water coolers and internet forums, it is more about them feeling good about themselves than ending the suffering of another creature. They are mostly posers and their heart is not what they say. They are full of it.
