I was really starting to like Gayego despite my concerns about the 1-1/4 distance. From post 19, he might have cover 1-5/16s. No sir, I don’t like that at all. Z Fortune, on the other hand, is starting to look a little better.

Despite breaking from post 19, I’m not quite ready to give up on Gayego. At the same time, I’m not sure I can put him on top any tickets. Z Fortune is looking good — he comes off a career best, but that’s not necessarily a negative. It’s really too bad about Smooth Air’s fever — he also looks good, except for the lost training time.

Couldn’t agree more on Gayego, Jeff. I’d liked to have seen him break from nearly anywhere else. Liking Colonel John now, and the lady in the money at longer odds.
