• Betfair puts its money on online horse racing gambling in US
  An overview of what Betfair has done, and plans to do, with TVG since purchasing the ADW/cable channel.
• Who is ducking whom?
  “Truth be told, we could have Rachel vs. Zenyatta twice if anyone really wanted it.” (Problem is, the people who want it most are the fans. Said owner Jess Jackson on the subject: “The fans … and the media helps them … create illusions of a potential competition…. I prefer that people wouldn’t hype the potential of a race like that. Just let the horses run to their best skills as the trainers and owners decide.”)

  Consider it part of a plan: “… the latest moves [are] an ambitious campaign to make the social graph an integral, ubiquitous element of life online.” I’m ambivalently intrigued by this evolution and its implications.
